Sabrina Balliana
Set & Costume Designer – Relatively Speaking and Sugar Road
Born and raised in Montreal, Sabrina Balliana is a scenic and costume designer who works in theatre, cinema and live entertainment. She holds a Specialized Bachelor in English Literature, and a DEC in John Abbott College’s Theatre Design Program, where she has learned numerous skills to execute her creative visions on-stage. She is incredibly passionate about all facets of design, as well as the importance of storytelling, both textually and visually, and has loved working as a designer and general theatre practitioner in the exciting Montreal arts scene. Selected theatre works include: scenic design, John Abbott College’s Eurydice (2022), costume design, John Abbott College’s Once Upon A Mattress (2023), production design, House of Actor’s Motherf*cker With the Hat (2024), costume design, One and the Other (2024), production design, Segal Academy’s Into The Woods (2025), production design, Watermark Theatre’s The Woman and Black (2025) and Dear Jack, Dear Louise (2025), and production design, Segal Academy’s Curtains (2026); as well as many costume and set designs for shows at various high schools across Montreal. When she isn’t designing, Sabrina also works as a scenic painter and seamstress.
