Mary Vingoe est directrice, directrice artistique, directrice de festival, dramaturge, enseignante et actrice, ainsi que directrice artistique fondatrice du Magnetic North Theatre Festival au Centre national des arts du Canada \u00e0 Ottawa, cofondatrice et ancienne directrice artistique du Nightwood Theatre \u00e0 Toronto, cofondatrice et ancienne codirectrice artistique du Ship\u2019s Co. Theatre \u00e0 Parrsboro (Nouvelle-\u00c9cosse) et cofondatrice et ancienne codirectrice artistique de The Eastern Front Theatre \u00e0 Halifax.<\/p>\n

Madame Vingoe a dirig\u00e9 des spectacles dans des th\u00e9\u00e2tres des quatre coins du pays. Mentionnons le Centre national des arts du Canada, le Tarragon Theatre, le Royal Manitoba Theatre Centre, le Prairie Theatre Exchange, les Alberta Theatre Projects et le Neptune Theatre. Elle a fait un mandat comme artiste en r\u00e9sidence \u00e0 l\u2019\u00c9cole nationale du th\u00e9\u00e2tre, l\u2019University of Alberta, l\u2019University of British Columbia, la Mount Allison University et la Memorial University. Elle est aussi dramaturge. Sa pi\u00e8ce Refuge<\/em>, publi\u00e9e par le Scirocco Press, a \u00e9t\u00e9 finaliste au Prix Nova Scotia Masterworks et en 2016 elle \u00e9tait de la premi\u00e8re s\u00e9lection au Prix de Gouverneur g\u00e9n\u00e9ral pour les arts du spectacle. Sa nouvelle pi\u00e8ce, Some Blow Flutes<\/em>, \u00e9tait en lice pour le prix Merritt de la meilleure nouvelle pi\u00e8ce de 2019. Some Blow Flutes<\/em> est publi\u00e9e par le Scirocco Press. Elle travaille actuellement avec sa fille, Laura Vingoe-Cram, sur une nouvelle \u0153uvre Gonzalo\u2019s Map<\/em> pour le Keep Good Theatre Company \u00e0 Halifax.<\/p>\n

Madame Vingoe est laur\u00e9ate de nombreux prix, dont le Prix Portia White de la Nouvelle-\u00c9cosse pour m\u00e9rite artistique. En 2011, elle est devenue Officier de l\u2019Ordre du Canada pour sa contribution au th\u00e9\u00e2tre canadien.<\/p>\n
